Leverett Fails to Get Quorum at Meeting

Fifty candidates for election to the student Council started gathering petitions last night, after six Houses and Dudley had held preliminary nomination meetings. Leverett alone failed to draw a quorum of 25 percent of its members, and it has scheduled another meeting for tonight.

Freshmen will name their contenders at a meeting in the Union tonight at 7 o'clock.

The candidates:

Adama House: John D. White, Jr. '50, Clyde Eagleton, Jr. '48, George 1. Harris '50, John K. Lally '49, Richard Hatton '49, Merton M. Madway '48, M. Jerome Franklin '49, William S. Campbell '50.

Dudley Hall: Carl R. Marshall '50, Edgar F. Noble '49, Paul J. Douglass '50, Shepard P. Pollock '49, Leo J. Fitzpatrick '50, Edward P. Morrissey '49.

Nomination meetings were temporally confused when bad enunciation substituted a Kilpatrick for a Fitzpatrick, and a Bartlett for a Bartle.
