Nine to Meet B.C. Today in Delayed Fray

If Saturday's cold winds give way to something more than wet grounds and rain this morning, the varsity baseball team will meet Boston College here at 4 o'clock today.

Hurler Ira Godin, who fell prey Friday to an attack of hives, was released from Stillman yesterday morning, and may well be fit to go on the hill today. Should Godin be fit, Coach Dolph Samborski can erase one worry from his state: He won't have to use sore-handed Red Connelly for more work than he can take comfortably.

The two-day layover should prove beneficial to two other cripples on the squad. Outfielder-pitcher Charley Roche, in doubtful shape Saturday due to a pulled leg muscle, will almost certainly be ready to play, while Cliff Crosby should by now also be set to lend his authoritative bat to the fray.

Crosby, originally a catcher, will have to fit in somewhere else today, for Dolph will undoubtedly string along with his original nomination of Armie Essayan for the catcher's duties.
