Boston College freshmen breezed to victories in the three short-distance runs Saturday afternoon, but the Yardling track team forged from behind to take its meet from the Eagles by an unofficial 41 to 27 score.

B.C. runners captured only one more first in the eight-event meet, clocking a 3:46.7 mile relay.

Four Freshmen came through in the high jump, the only field event scheduled, as Charley Keefe and Hal Furth tied for first with jumps of 5 feet, 2 inches. Bob Duncan and Jim Gregg tied for third to sweep the event for the Crimson.

George Williams in the 880, Dick White in the mile, and Dick Welch in the two mile run supplied five points apiece to the Yardling cause with times not far behind the Varsity's.
