Coop Gang Feuds In Jail as Police Nab Last Suspect

After a rough and tumble fight in North End early yesterday morning, police captured Theodore Voutiritsa, 38, who they named as the last of the "Co-operative Gang," part of a long-existent crime fellowship that was responsible for the January 9 Coop stickup.

Loose talk was responsible for the eventual capture of the gang, and the two members who couldn't keep their mouths shut have kindled sparks of wrath and internal warfare in the under-world organization.

Outright threats of vengeance by one of the captives have been directed at another of his former colleagues, and police are now keeping the prisoners in separate cells to prevent bloodshed.

Even as the bandit feud grew, so did the sum of money that police recovered in their investigations. The figure now is close to the original $50,000 removed from the smoke-filled Coop at the beginning of the year.

Police explained that the seven men now being held are also closely suspected of being instrumental in the $25,000 M.I.T. holdup.
