Coach Bill Barclay's golf team, minus Bill Barclay, gets a jump on the rest of the invaders when it leaves for North Carolina by autos this afternoon. In a week the golfers will play three practice matches, starting its scheduled foursomes against the Tarheels of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Wednesday.

After an afternoon-night drive to Balcksburg, Va., the team will play the duffers of V.P.I., and the day after, Friday, April 1, Virginia will provide the opposition on its Charlottesville course.
