Henry Wallace's third-party candidacy received a shot in the arm from University and Radcliffe supporters last night as the Committee for Wallace mapped out plans to place Wallace's name on the Massachusetts state ballot.

A state-wide convention on April 4, scheduled for the Hotel Bradford, will set up a Massachusetts Progressive Party, and the Committee expects to send 40 delegates. For every ten non-Committee members signed up on petitions circulated last night, the Committee will be entitled to send one delegate.

Benjamin Sills, Chairman of the Cambridge Progressive Citizens of America, reported that 50,000 signatures were required to place a candidate's name on the ballot. Cambridge's quota is 10,000 and Sills urged closer cooperation between the Committee and the PCA. Canvassing for signatures to provide delegates to the convention will get underway within a week or ten days.

The Committee also considered the advisability of establishing a Radcliffe Committee for Wallace in order to organize Wallace-supporting 'Cliffedwellers.
