Old John's Script Reveals Modesty, Freshman Finds

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

No alarming traits of any sort marked John Harvard's character, John O. Gates '51 assured the College yesterday when he disclosed that samples of Jawn's signature reveal "an objective and dispassionate personality, modest and direct, with plenty of good taste."

Searching for more than casual information for English A themes, Gates last month copied Harvard's signature from a law paper, and brought it to Dr. Abraham A. Roback, a local handwriting expert. Roback was an instructor of Psychology at the College over 25 years ago.

Johnny Was No Mystic

Further analysis showed that Harvard's handwriting contains no "religious or mystical trends, and indicates good resistance, coupled with the ability to cope with any circumstances."

Gates has already composed one paper on John Harvard, with another on the fire. He claims research for his theme turned up evidence that Shakespeare served as Jawn's baby sitter, "often dandling him on his knees."
