Disagreement as to the number of participants caused the cancellation of the '51 fencing meet with M.I.T. scheduled for this afternoon, the Athletic Association announced yesterday.

The Freshmen fencers, undefeated in seven starts, will try to retain their unblemished record Saturday, when they meet Yale in the season's finite.
