A telegram, dispatched to American Federation of Labor headquarters, was signed by Perry Miller, Professor of American Literature and president of Local 451 of the American Federation of Teachers, a member union of the AFT, official Wheeler's Present of nationalism and obstructionism in domestic affairs."
