Three Crimson Squash Units Storm into Yale Powerhouse

Another Eli encounter comes up today in New Haven when the once beaten Varsity squash squad winds up its Intercollegiate League play this afternoon against a Bulldog outfit that hasn't lost in three years.

Besides the Varsity, Freshman and Jayvee teams will also see action at the Yale fortress, in what will be the second of the newly-instituted triple squash invasions.

No squad this season has even come close to downing the Yalies, who boast shutouts in five of their eight battles. To make matters on paper even worse, the same Army team that handed the Crimson its only setback of the campaign, bowed to the Bulldogs, 7 to 2.

Come what may, the Crimson will make things hot for the Eli, predicts Coach Jack Barnaby, with all players, especially Captain Adam Foster, in top form for the match.

While today's game rings down the curtain on the actual league campaign, the climax of the winter season does not come until next Saturday at Princeton, when the three-day intercollegiate individuals championships begin. The Crimson will probably enter its top tire in the 20-team competition.

The Freshman match this afternoon will be a clash between two squads whose only defeats have come at the hands of Williams, but comparative scores give the Yardlings the edge. Junior Varsity squash is a recent innovation and today's game will represent the first Harvard-Yale Jayvee Valetta match over played.
