Two matches in three days is the bruising Washington's Birthday weekend vacation arranged for the Varsity wrestling team, currently boasting a record of five wins and one loss. Today Chief Boston's squad face a reportedly weak Dartmouth squad, returning to Cambridge in time to meet Brown at the Blockhouse Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
Howie Schless' undefeated Freshman team will face the Brown Cube immediately before the Varsity match.
On the basis of that sportswriter's standby, the comparative record, Boston's grapplers should have little trouble with the Darthmouth men, who are powerful in only three classes. Pat Dolan at 128, captain Pete Larsen at 165, and Fred Klett, the next weight up, are their best men, but are by no means certain of victories. Don Louria, Crimson 165-pounder, is Harvard's high scorer while a much-improved Bob Claflin, at 175, should give Klett a fight.
Brown rates as a considerably stronger team than the Indians, having defeated the Big Green at Hanover by a 19 to 9 score some two months ago. Although lacking any outstanding grapplers, the Bruins have capable lightweights, and men at 155, 165, and 175, who have won most of their matches.
Chief Boston will make no changes in the Crimson manpower from that of last week's, barring injuries at Hanover.
The Harvard lineup: 121, David Coombs; 128; Pat Bowditch; 136, Jim Westfall; 145, Dan Ray; 155, Jim Conant; 165; Don Louria; 175, Bob Claflin; unlimited, captain Peter Fuller.
