Apathy Slows Start of House Bowling Slate

The Inter-House Athletic Committee rejected yesterday a request for a bowling league on the basis of insufficient interest. However, Clarence Hutchinson '51, sponsor of the request, said that he will go ahead with plans for the league.

Dunster and Lowell Houses have already shown interest in the league, he said, and attempts will be made in each of the other Houses to interest potential bowlers.

Goal is to get competition underway either by reading period or by the beginning of the spring term, Hutchinson stated. Adolph Samborski, director of intramural athletics, has promised Hutchinson that if successful, the league will be made a part of next year's Straus Cup competition.
