The varsity squash team opens its winter season tomorrow with a match against a traditionally strong McGill team, at Hemenway Gym.
The seasoned Varsity, with Captain Jim McKittrick, Milt Heath, and Hugh and Henry Foster, is heading toward another season like last year's in which the team lost only to Yale and Army. Coach Jack Barnaby's crew has been impressive in its fall workouts.
Although McGill last year was rated one of the hottest squash teams in Canada, the Varsity scored an 8 to 1 win when they visited Montreal one weekend before Christmas. Before leaving they also whipped the University of Toronto and the Montreal Badminton and Squash Club for good measure.
This year, Barnaby's men will be operating as usual on their system of playing intercollegiate rivals over weekends and meeting teams of various local clubs daily in the Boston metropolitan league.
