Eliot edged Dunster, 5 to 3, and Winthrop shut out Adams, 5 to 0, in the Arena yesterday, as the House hockey season went into its second day.

The Eliot-Dunster game was tied until the last five minutes, when two late goals by Ames Stevens and George Murphy gave Eliot the game.

In the Winthrop-Adams match a skillful Puritan defense withstood heavy pounding by the Gold Coasters.

In the only league "A" basketball game of the day, Lowell topped Dudley, 44 to 32. In the "B" league Dunster defeated Winthrop, 36 to 35, and Dudley triumphed over Lowell, 29 to 17.
