Olympic Victor Talks At Yachting Meeting

Harvard Yachting Club members ended their fall season last night with an open meeting in Lowell House Junior Common Room.

Hilary Smart, ocC, the only Harvard man to win a gold medal at the Olympic games, described his experiences in European regattas last summer.

Smart and his father, Paul H. Smart '14, won the Internationalship Star Racing Championship.

The Harvard yachtsmen placed among 13 collegiate competitors last fall in the Navy Regatta, and came in third for the Schell Trophy race.

Last week they planned to race in the President's Cup Regatta in Washington, D.C. Lack of transportation kept them from going.
