NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Coach Bill Brooks has whittled 64 candidates for the freshman swimming team to a working squad of 28. Of these 28 who will spend their afternoons paddling through the Indoor Athletic pool, eight are divers.

The fledgling amphibians will go their first taste of competition on Saturday, December 11, when they meet the Phillips Andover squad at Andover for a practice scrimmage. Regular competition will start three days later against MITO in the home pool.

No outstanding secondary school swimmers have turned up in this year's crop.

A 150-yard individual medley has been added to the usual meet events this year. The 1948 schedule is:

December 15, MIT

January 8, Boston University

January 12, at Brown

February 12, Andover

February 19, St. George's

February 26, at Exeter

March 5, Dartmouth

March 12, Yale
