'52 Eleven Drops 27-13 Decision to Dartmouth Squad

Dartmouth suddenly and surprisingly came to life in Saturday's Freshmen football game at the Stadium, and scored four quick touchdowns that overcame a 13 to 0 halftime score and beat Henry Lamar's amazed Crimson eleven, 27 to 13.

Fumbles and intercepted passes four times in the second half gave the Green the ball deep in Harvard territory, and each time and Indians pushed promptly to the goal where four line plunged accounted for their entire scoring of the day.

The first half was all Harvard both in the air and on the ground. Captain Carroll Lowenstein passed his way downfield and Bob Ray bucked over for the opening score of the game. Later, halfback Bill Fitzpatrick, who performed beautifully all afternoon, did his best work of the day when he picked up a Dartmouth punt and galloped 70 yards down the left sidelines for a touchdown.

Green Makes Breaks Count

The Indians opened their second half rally soon after the kickoff with the interception of a Lowenstein forward. Passes by Bob Brown and Gene Teevens brought the ball to the Crimson two-yard line where a line back succeeded. Another interception and two Harvard fumbles within the next 15 minutes gave the Green more scores in exactly the same pattern.
