8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
"One physical world absolutely requires one political world," Vernon Nash, vice-president of the United World Federalists, told the University Federalists' chapter last night in Harvard Hall.
Nash maintained that if we can avoid war for three years, we will have within that time a functioning world government. "We will be racing against the economic collapse of all the countries of the world because of their costly preparedness programs," he said.
The journalist and educator expressed optimism over the fact that 49 newly-elected Congressmen have supported the strengthening of the United Nations into a more powerful body. Among these he mentioned Johnson of Texas, Humphreys of Minnesota, Douglas of Illinois, and Miller of Idaho.
