Harvard Observatory has seen the third robbery in its vicinity within a fortnight. On Sunday night Albion Sawyer '52 ran into a holdup there that has not yet been reported to the Cambridge police.
Sawyer was driving home Angelica Wulff, daughter of an MIT professor. Going up Lancaster street, he saw a man standing in the middle of the road with his hands in the air.
The street was narrow and Sawyer had to pull up alongside a parked automobile. He glanced inside the car and found himself staring at a revolver.
By now the follow in the middle of the road had stepped aside. The man behind the pistol remained silent, and Sawyer drove away fast.
What still bafiles Sawyer is why the man in the street, who "was obviously being held up," hadn't reported the robbery to the police.
