Gannon Accepts North-South Bid

Fullback Chip Gannon has accepted an invitation to play in the annual North-South football game at Birmingham, Alabama, on Christmas Day, it was learned yesterday. Basketball Coach Bill Barclay his granted him a "leave of absence" from his position as hoop captain in order to make the trip.

Gannon joins teammembers Emil Drvaric and Nick Rodis on the North squad. Drvaric, considered one of the finest kick off specialists in the country, may handle this chore on Christmas Day, as well as attempting the points after touchdown-- that is, if the Yankee backs come through with some scores.
