HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
Gold Coasters may soon be able to shrink their own socks all by themselves. If enough names are received on a current Adams House petition, the House committee will give serious consideration to providing a Bendix for the basement.
So far, opinion seems to favor purchase of a washing machine. Some Adams House residents have stated that they were for the machine by probably wouldn't use it, and still others favor a television set for the same price.
Wellington P. Scott '50, secretary of the House committee, explained that the poll was being taken merely as an index of resident opinion. Nothing is definite as yet on the subject, he added.
Money to finance the purchase could come either from the House Committee's treasury or the Master's Fund, but this problem has not yet been taken up by the House Committee.
The House committee at Dunster has also discussed the idea of purchasing a washing machine, but no definite decision has yet been reached there.
