Classical music and news summaries headed the list of Radcliffe listening favorites, in a recent poll of 236 Radio Radcliffe fans.
Many students polled favored a continuation of discussions on current college issues, such as the broadcast last Monday, in which Dean Kerby-Miller and Joan Braverman '50 went over the problem of joint exams.
Others felt the need for "live" feature shows. Their cries will be answered Monday when Miss Florence Gerrish, resident head of Cabot Hall, gives scenes from "Romeo and Juliet" over Radio Radcliffe.
The Music 1 and 141 listening hours have proved to be a tremendous success, with six times as many girls hearing the listening hours as are taking the courses.
Study vs Radio
Of the 236 girls polled, 37 explained that they did not listen to Radio Radcliffe because they were unable to study with the radio on.
Following results of this poll, Radio Radcliffe plans to continue its policy of concentrating on classical music, but will still broadcast its weekly half-hour drama, jazz, and folk song programs.
