President Conant will make one of his rare appearances as a presiding officer at a public lecture today, when he introduces Dr. Alan Grogg, Medical Director of the Rockefeller Foundation, at 4 p.m. in Emerson D.
Sponsored jointly by the Anthropology Society, the Social Relations Society, and the Social Relations Colloquium, Dr. Gregg will speak on "Biology and Human Affairs," He is expected to discuss the relevance of biology to the study of social institutions.
It was Dr. Gregg who obtained the funds and the scientific backing that made the "Kinsey Report," or "The Sexual Behavior of the American Male" possible. Profits from sale of the book are expected to finance the research for the remaining volumes that Kinsey is planning.
