HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
Socialist education and political action will be counters of activity for the Harvard Youth for Democracy this term, members decided in last night's inaugural meeting.
Elections resulted in the succession of Stephen Wechsler '49 to the chairmanship held last year by Geoffrey White '47, and the establishment of a joint Harvard-Radcliffe executive committee.
An educational campaign, waged in conjunction with the John Reed Society, will be launched shortly, and will expose HYD members and the University to a "more forthright point of view on socialism" than is available from any other local source, Wechsler promised.
