NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Radcliffe's student body has voted to abolish assembly by a 5 to 1 majority, results of an all-college referendum taken in Agassiz and the dormitories revealed last night. Instituted in 1945 as a legislative group and a sounding board for student opinion, assembly consisted of 100 members from all four classes. The vote confirmed Student Council feeling that assembly no longer served its original functions.

Library System Unsolved

Recommendation for a library checking system is hanging in the balance today as a 295 to 294 vote in favor of the plan was cast, with six ballots still outstanding. The controversial issue was hotly debated at the recent "Cliffe mass meeting, but the final decision will be up to the faculty no matter what the outcome of the vote.

Almost unanimous approval was given to the Association of Harvard and Radcliffe Student Governments, an intra University organization, on the last item of the ballot.
