Future applicants for admission to the College will be screened by Dana M. Cotton, director of placement at the Graduate School of Education, appointed yesterday as assistant to the chairman of the Committee on Admissions.
Cotton will retain his job as director of placement while assisting Richard M. Gummere '07, chairman of the admissions committee.
Cotton arrived at Harvard in 1944, after serving as director of guidance for the Maine department of education. He is secretary-treasurer of both the N. E. Association of Colleges and the Harvard Teachers Association. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire.
