Six games at Soldiers Field this afternoon will pry the lid off the newly-organized Freshman intramural touch football program. Pairs of games at 2, 3, and 4 p.m. will put 12 of the 16 Yard entries into action on opening day.
The Freshman Athletic Council has divided the 16 teams into two eight-team leagues--the American and National. A championship game between the two loop winners will be played at the end of the regular season. The winner of that game will face the leading Yale Freshman sextet the Yale weekend.
American League

Today's slate lists four American circuit clashes and two National tilts. At 2 p.m. Thayer Middle opposes Mower on Field 1 and Weld North meets Holworthy on Field 2.
