More than 40 beer-drinking German enthusiasts flocked to Lowell House tower last night for the organizational meeting of "Verein Turmwaechter," the College's German club.

President Gerwin K. Rohrbach '50 outlined the year's activities which include several beer parties, a Hallowe'en outing, a waltz party at Agassiz Hall in November, a Sunday concert in March, and a May festival.

Coffee hours every month will be attended by professors and other notables, who will lecture on phases of German study.

"The only purpose of the Club is to help members improve their knowledge of German and Germany," Rohrback explained last night. French, Spanish, Russian, and Italian groups are holding similar programs.
