Down the Blockhouse steps go JOHN H. BRODE and RICHARD RUSSELL, the last two Freshmen to leave the temporary dormitory in the Indoor Athletic Building. They walked out at precisely 5:45 p.m. yesterday, four weeks after first unlashing their bedrolls in the gymnasium.
Brode and Russell yesterday morning received their room assignments in Claverly after worrying several hours over the Blockhouse janitors' ultimatum: "Be out by nightfall."
"We were afraid we'd have to sleep on the Widener steps," Brode said last night. Janitors had stowed his bed away, before he has found a home.
The two Yearlings had been offered accommodations a week ago, but preferred to wait for other rooms.
