It was late last night, and the home-bound student felt no kindness towards the Counecticut trooper who had so discourteously whistled him down for doing 85 on the monotonous marches of the Merritt Parkway.
"Well, my boy," muttered the tired cop, "is it nine o'clock in New Haven or a ten in Cambridge?"
"Ten in Cambridge," answered the surprised, youth, tightening his slightly-soiled cravat.
"Well, go on then--but watch out for my friends in Hartford."
