JV Gridders Set For Cadet Plays

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Ben McCabe's J.V. team should have a pretty good idea of the Army's plays by Friday, because the Crimson jayvees have been making like Cadets for the varsity all week. On Friday, they face their first real test of the season against the Army J.V. at West Point.

This thorough knowledge of the Army T formation should rebound to J.V. advantage by enabling the players to discover who has the ball by spotting the blocking patern.

Since Saturday's tussle against Leicester Junior College was little more than a warmup, the big question Friday afternoon will be whether the J.V. single wing will work against a coordinated defense.

McCabe may not have the services of several almost-varsity operatives, who appeared in the Leicaster game. The H.A.A. high command has authorized Art Valpey to take 72 men who play football down to West Point. There is no specification that only thirty-six (the number who went to Cornell) may partake in the varsity game.
