Soccer Team Plays Practice Tilt with Local Professionals

Half an hour before the football game gets under way, the Varsity soccer team will got its first taste of outside opposition when the Worcester Scandinavians visit the Business School to play a scrimmage with the Crimson. A semi-pro team made up of men who live around Worcester, the Scans play a fast-breaking, passing game which puts the emphasis on condition.

"The contest should be of value to both squads," Coach MacDonad said yesterday, "The Scans want to see if they're ready for their season which opens next week, and I'll be able to see how the team looks against something of known quantity."

MacDonald plans to use all the men on the first Varsity squad during the 90-minutes of scrimmage, and did not name a starting lineup last night.
