Old Vic Sends VTW Pony of 'Henry IV'

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Just like a Hymarx," mused Veterans Theater Workshop official Mendy Weisgal when he heard that England's famed "Old Vic" had agreed to send the local group its own prompt script of Henry IV.

By using the specifically reproduced copy, the VTW will be able to hurdle the complex technical difficulties of cutting and staging so evident in Shakespearean drama. Although Laurence Olivier and Ralph Richardson won't be playing the leading roles, VTW members feel that they got the next best thing.

Production preliminaries for the VTW presentation of the play, scheduled for early December in Sanders Theatre, will begin sometime next week. There are still plenty of parts available as well as openings in the technical assistant department, Weisgal announced.
