Heavy Mail Goes Out to Freshmen And New Students

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The general service office in University Hall is working at top speed this week and next, mailing to an expected 1,250 new Freshmen over a dozen pieces of literature, forms, envelopes, and catalogs.

Included in the Freshmen envelopes are the course catalog (Official Register), a revised "Studies in the Freshman Year" pamphlet, adviser assignment sheet, calendar of opening days, parents' information sheet, a letter from the department of Military Science and Tactics, along with other general information sheets.

To married students goes a letter prepared by Hunneman and Company, advising them to leave their families home until suitable quarters can be found in Cambridge.

During the registration week, new and returning students will hear Thomas S. Lamont '21, Overseer, as well as Provost Buck and Dean Bender at a reception on Friday, September 19.

Later this month, Freshmen will receive another envelope, from the CRIMSON, containing the Confidential Guide and a special Freshman Issue of Cambridge's only breakfast table daily.
