Intramural baseball officially dons its summer clothing today when the Kirkland Deacons meet an Adams-Dunster nine at 3 o'clock on the Freshman diamond at Soldiers Field.
The Deacons will again take the field on Monday against Eliot for the second game of the summer series, starting time and place being the same.
Adolph W. Samborski '26, Intramurals Director, expressed the hope yesterday that the beginning of activities will foster the organization of new teams. He said that he should be contacted for additional team arrangements, which would case the formation of a league and a full schedule of competition for the fall term.
Merger Suggested
For those Houses or Halls which cannot recruit a full nine, Samborski suggested that they follow the example of the Adams-Dunster merger. The Deacons, also, are composed of members of Winthrop besides residents of their title House.
Practice for the idle team or teams on those days when games are being played will be held on the Varsity diamond, according to an announcement from the three managers--William S. Harrison '48, Kirkland; Tener R. Eckelberry '46, Eliot; and Robert A. Peterson '49, Adams-Dunster.
