Organization of a summer intramural baseball league gathered momentum yesterday as three additional groups joined the already formed Deacons with plans for participation in league play and an undetermined number of extramural contests.
Meeting on Soldiers Field with Dolph Samborski, Director of Intramural Athletics and Baseball Coach, those who indicated their intention of forming teams included a group composed of residents of Adams and Dunster Houses and a group from Eliot. The Deacons, a team organized early last week, are primarily from Kirkland and Winthrop.
Samborski stated last night that the four teams organized now may be joined by one or two more as the summer athletic program gets under way this week.
