Varsity Gains Lacrosse Win Over MIT, 8-6

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A smoothly coordinated attack that featured team play rather than individual stars gave the Varsity lacrosse team an 8 to 6 victory over M.I.T. yesterday on the Engineers' field.

That the boys from down the Charles did not win certainly was not the fault of their one man gang, Jim Clifford, who scored everyone of his team's six goals. On no less than four of these tallies Clifford did the job unassisted.

In contrast, the Crimson scoring honors were well distributed. Hans Estin, hero of the Williams thriller on Saturday, with two goals and Ned Dewey with one goal are one assist showed the way to their Harvard teammates.

The Lineup: g, Allen; pt, Graham; cp, Forsythe; 1d, Davis; 2d, Smith; c, Estin; 2a, Dewey; 1a, Hurley; oh, Bezanson; lh, Gregg. Substitutes: Bernard, Snow, Lange, Louria, Abbot, Richards, Rogers, Pierce, Zimmerman, Page, Mauran.
