Fitz Bats .400 to Tie For Ivy League Lead

Varsity first baseman Bill Fitz is currently locked in a three-way tie for first place among Eastern Intercollegiate League batters, who are vying for the Charles H. Blair Bat.

Fitz, Ben Gulla of Penn, and Ken Knoernschild of Columbia and clipping the mark at an even .400, based on ten or more times at bat. Other Varsity hitters in the charmed .300 circle are Walt Coulson, Jack Caulfield, and Saul Mariaschin.

Coulson's six runs batted in are tops for the Crimson and second-high in the League.
