Before final practice for today's match with Williams, the Varsity tennis team yesterday elected. Max Tufts '46 of Yarmouthport captain for the remainder of the season. Tufts, the number two netman, also captained the squash team.

Still seeking its first win of the season, the Varsity leaves for Williamstown today to tangle with a team "very similar to our own in strength," according to Coach Barnaby's advance reports. Barnaby plans to send almost the same team against Williams that was in the process of humbling Bowdoin last week before rain cut the match short. The only substitution will be newcomer Howie Schwartzman, who replaces Edus Warren at number six.

Three other tennis teams take to the courts today, the Jayvees tackling, a Graduate School aggregation at home, while the Freshman first team takes on Deerfield away. The Yearling second team also will play away, facing the Exeter Jayvees at Exeter.

The Varsity line--Singles: Backe, Tufts (capt.), Wightman, Pratt, Coon, and Schwartzman.
