Mikkola, Haines Get Major H's
Coaches Jaakko Mikkola and Bert Haines, who have worked with Crimson track and crew men respectively for 26 and 27 years, have been voted major H's, the Athletic Association announced Tuesday.
Dick Harlow (football) and Tom Bolles (crew) were similarly honored in 1942.
Hurdler Dave Reed '44, who was counted on as a certain scorer in the Yale meet before he broke his leg, was also awarded a major letter.
