Mastodons Lumber to League Softball Title

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Intramural softball honors went to Eliot House Friday in the final league game this spring, but the Mastodons had to extend themselves to edge Dudley, 2 to 1, and preserve their undefeated record.

With one down in the last of the seventh, pinch-hitter Robert (Tie) Cobb leaped high in the air to stroke the 0 and 2 pitch out of the premises with one mate aboard.

The final softball standings: House  Record  House  Record Eliot  7-0  Adams  2-4* Winthrop  6-1  Dudley  2-4* Dunster  4-3  Leverett  2-5* Kurkland  4-3  Lowell  0-5* (*Two scores unreported)
