Financial and housing problems have forced postponement of a joint American Veterans Committee-Student Council plan to send students to France to help rebuild the University of Caen. Originally scheduled for this summer, the project will not go into effect until 1948.
Another International Activities summer project, however, is still proceeding under full steam, the Committee disclosed last night, when it appointed Lawrence M. Jaffa 1 Dv to lead the Italian Work group.
At the same time, it was announced that several spaces are still open on the Italian project, whose total personnel is to include 15 University students and five women from Smith.
Those who want to join this project should report to the Student Council office in Phillips Brooks House any afternoon from 1 to 5 o'clock, the I.A.C. announced. All applicants must know some European language.
