Radcliffe will send an entry to the annual college poetry contest at Mount Holyoke College in the person of Judith Nelson, Radcliffe '49, whose poem, "On the Death of a Friend," was selected last night as the best original work by a 'Cliffedweller.

Her poem was singled out by Francis O. Matthiessen, Professor of History and Literature, and Harry T. Levin, associate professor of English, after its entry in a contest sponsored by Radditudes, the 'Cliffe literary monthly. It will appear in the next issue of that magazine, which reaches the newsstands Thursday, May 8.
