Boston College's talented baseball team opens its season against the Varsity this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Eagles' Newton roost. Late yesterday afternoon Coach Adolph Samborski still had not decided on his starting pitcher. "I want to talk to the boys before the game tomorrow," Samborski said, "and I'll-start the one who's best in the warmups. It'll either be Jack Wallace, Brendon Reilly or Ira Godin."

The lineup: Forte, 2b.; Caulfield, c.f.; Fitz, 1b; Coulson, l.f.; Lunder, r.f.; Mariashin, ss.; Coppinger, 3b.; Hamlen, c.; Wallace, Reilly of Godin, p.
