Student preference, which dictated the Veterans Theater Workshop's recent production of "Saint Joan," again was a decisive factor last week as the group chose Shakespeare's "Henry IV, Part I" for next fall's presentation.
H. M. Temple, 3rd '47, a member of the "Saint Joan" cast, will direct the production, slated to reach the Sanders stage in the first week of December.
Casting This Spring
Although intensive rehearsals will not open until next fall, the VTW plans to cast the major roles before the end of this term, so that the players can learn the longer parts over the summer vacation.
Preliminary casting will probably open within the next week. All men, veterans or otherwise, who are interested can contact Jerome T. Kilty '50 in Eliot C-32 before the castings begin.
Recent club elections resulted in the choice of Kilty as managing director, Blair M. Boyd, Jr. '48, assistant manager, and Clyde Eagleton, Jr. '48 as secretary, Joseph D. Everingham '49, Timothy G. Foote '50, and Temple will make up the new executive council.
