Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Sports-minded undergraduates who manage to forsake the Braves-Phillies doubleheader, Suffolk Downa and the Marathon tomorrow afternoon in favor of the curtain-raising Harvard-Brown-Rhode Island State track meet in the Stadium will be amply rewarded.
The competition will be outstanding, in contrast to the traditionally "soft" opening meet material. For example, Bob Bennett, Brown's national intercollegiate 16-pound hammer champion, Jack Fisher, Sam Felton, and Rhode Island's Miller (1-2-3-4 in the indoor IC4A 35-pound weight throw last month) will compete in what should be the country's best hammer show until the IC4A's later this spring.
Dwyer in Dash
In addition to Bennett, Brown will unveil Bill Dwyer, third in the indoor IC4A 50-yard dash, and a flock of capable field events men, including a high jumper who clears six feet three inches.
The Harvard entries:
