Rain Washes Out Local Ball Games

The rains came yesterday afternoon to cancel all local baseball, as the Red Sox, the Crimson Jayvees and Freshmen, and four intramural aggregations found themselves inundated alike.

Moe Berg's Yardlings led Governor Dummer 4 to 0 when their game was called after the first inning. Other cancellations included a match between the Junior Varsity nine and Nichols Junior College, and another between Eliot and Leverett.

The Winthrop-Dudley softball encounter also met with heavy precipitation.
