HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
"This is WHCN, the Harvard Crimson Network," the familiar tag line, will no longer serve to identify the College radio station when it resumes operation after the summer vacation, it was decided last night at a full board meeting of the network.
Starting in September, the call letters of the station will be WHRV, while the official title of the organization changes to "The Harvard Radio Network."
The new label is designed to end the mixups caused when many advertisers confused the Network with the CRIMSON, was the official explanation.
First on the agenda of last night's meeting was the election of network candidates and a full new executive board. Gerald Y. Green '48, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Lowell House, will serve as the station's new president, replacing Harold P. Field '46.
Included on the new slate are Jordan L. Golding '48, of Mattapan and Eliot House, as business manager; Albert Feldman, of Brookline and Claverly Hall, production director.
