Debate Council Holds Final Tryouts Tonight At 7:15 in Harvard 1

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Students seeking membership on the Debate Council should attend a meeting to be held tonight at 7:15 o'clock in Harvard 1, Robert M. Beren '47, president of the Council, announced last night.

Beren declared that the Council has set no limit on the number of new men to be accepted and stated that the sole qualification for membership on the Council are ability in debating and willingness to do "a proper amount of work."

Those accepted in the current tryout will be made provisional members of the Council until the end of the term, when they will be made full members "if they satisfy the Council of their willingness to work."

The current trials will be the last ones of the current college year, and would-be debaters will not have another chance to join the Council until next fall, Beren said.
