"Members of the Class of '47 are urgently needed to commence work on the '47 Album," Student Council President Richard G. Axt '46 announced last night as he slated a meeting for all interested next Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock in the Council office, Phillips Brooks House.
Appointed by the Class Committee in normal times, the Album staff is being called out by Axt since Class officer elections are just getting under way, with ballots going out to '47 members Monday.
"Even as it is, the '47 Album will not be out until early next Spring, shortly after the '46 Album," Axt said. The year-book normally is published immediately preceding Commencement.
"Get in on Ground Floor"
"Although '47 Album executives will be appointed by the Class committee when elected, men who turn out now will get in on the ground floor," Axt asserted. "People are needed especially for next Fall when most of the writing will be done."
With the photographing of Class members scheduled to begin the week after Spring vacation in the Houses, '47 Album workers are in immediate demand to make arrangements and classify pictures.
The biggest job ahead for the year-book compilers, however, is the devising and collection of biographical forms, which will start as soon as a working nucleus is obtained.
